Packeteer Video Demos

Product Management had a request into the Packeteer Marcom Department to upgrade the product demo pages on their website. This particular project had been on the boards for over 2 years and seemed to always be bumped from the departments priority list.


As part of my transition team engagement, I was working on a complete re-branding project for Packeteer, and I felt it would make sense to include the new product demo strategy as part of the overall new look
and feel for the company. It was also the one time that the Marketing
Department could budget the expense item without additional management sign-offs.


Leading a cross-functional team, I quickly assembled a project task force
that included myself and the department Marcom Manager; along with 3 people from Product Marketing. We quickly set goals, time-lines and action items for the team, as well as lined up vendors that could produce 5 video demos in less than 60 days.


We completed all 5 product demos on-time
for the launch of the new company website.
Additionally, we developed the videos in a
way that could be used both by the sales
force and sales channel in future PowerPoint
sales presentations. Bottom-line, we
successfully completed the project in record
time, both elevating the brand awareness
of packeteer, and delivering a series of
key messages promoting Packeteer and
its products as a “Global Player” and
innovator in WAN optimization.
